Scholarship Poster

Created February 2020

My plan for this piece was in my head the moment I received this project; sketching. As designers, we always end up sketching out a blueprint of our ideas before going forward with the creation of the piece itself. So my thought process was, "why not make the sketch the design itself?" Getting to work with a my piece, I set out to make this vision come to life. With a repeating background of a slightly askew piece of notebook paper and a bold blue indicative of a ballpoint pen, I believe that this piece accomplishes exactly what I sought out to create while still maintaining a legible and concise design asked of me. The graduation cap being the only thing in the layout that's of this color and size creates contrast and emphasis on it as the centerpiece of the design, and creates an wonderful design full of the homemade charm I love so much.
